MCH-Brew City Black Ball: The Untold Story of Black Baseball in Milwaukee
February 28 @ 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM
FreeMilwaukee’s baseball history is incredibly diverse. While the major league presence of the Braves and Brewers dominates the story of professional baseball, there were significant contributions made by Black people. This presentation uncovers that history in telling the stories of the McCoy-Nolan Giants and the Milwaukee Bears, two all-Black professional teams that called Milwaukee home during the 1920s. Presented by Ken Bartelt from the Milwaukee County Historical Society.
