Trinity Woods – Russia and Ukraine: Past, Present and Future with Dr. Tim Crain
September 26, 2023 @ 6:30 AM - 7:30 PM
FreeTim Crain received a Ph. D. in modern Europe, modern British and Irish, and modern Jewish history at Arizona State University, after earning his B.A. and M.A. from Marquette University. He taught for fifteen years at Marquette University and the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
In this 4-part lecture series, we will be focusing on the past, present and future of Russia and Ukraine. The relationship between Russia and Ukraine has been difficult for decades, and earlier last year Russia invaded Ukraine in an attempt to destroy Ukrainian independence. The Russian assault led to the largest war and greatest refugee crisis in Europe since World War II. The Russian conquest of Ukraine has been universally condemned by the international community, led by the United States. In this lecture we will focus on past issues between the two nations, the war in the present day, and what the future may hold for the two East European nations. Lecture dates are September 5, 12, 19, and 26.
