Dorothy Day and the Catholic Worker Movement
“Don’t call me a saint. I don’t want to be dismissed that easily,” are the best-known words attributed to Dorothy Day, the founder of the Catholic Worker movement. But despite her objections, the Catholic Church may well canonize her for her radical devotion to the Gospel. UWM Professor of History (Emeritus) Neal Pease will speak on the remarkable story of Dorothy Day’s improbable life journey to possible sainthood in a talk illustrated with PowerPoint.
