Living Art from the Composer-Performer: Their program opens with a soulful piece with Jewish sonorities by living composer, violinist, and pedagogue, Amy Barlowe. Following that is a duo in A minor for violin and viola by the Czech composer, Leopold Jansa. They move then to a trio composed by the outstanding violinist, Eugène Ysaÿe, and his fiendishly difficult “Le Londres” trio. This piece pushes the possibilities of chromaticism and virtuosity. The “Cantabile” by the Italian, Nicolo Paganini, brings their program to a tender finish.

The performers Addison Teng, Amy Hess, and Paul Hauer met while studying music at Oberlin Conservatory. Life and opportunities have brought them to the Midwest, with Addison and Amy living in Chicago and Paul in Milwaukee. Their achievements and accomplishments include their current positions in the Lyric Opera of Chicago, Grant Park Musical Festival, DePaul University, the Music Institute of Chicago, The Fulton Music Society, and the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra.
